‘Champignon de Paris’ is the variety of mushroom used to produce mushroom extract, which is well known for its superior flavour profile.

Mushroom Extract is a light brown, fine powder which dissolves easily in hot or cold water.

Mushroom Extract contains around 40% pure mushroom dry solid. Moisture content is around 4%.

Mushroom Extract is packed in 25kg cartons. It is also available packed in 500kg big bags.

Mushroom Extract is used by leading convenience food producers, flavour houses and seasoning manufacturers.

Mushroom Extract is used in a wide variety of savoury foods including: soups, sauces, stocks & bouillons and ready meals (ambient, frozen or dry).

Usage rate will depend on type of application and flavour requirement. Typical usage rate in mushroom soup is up to 5%. As a flavour enhancer, mushroom extract can be used around 1%.

1kg of Mushroom Extract is equivalent to around 14kg of fresh mushrooms.

Mushroom Extract has a shelf life of 2 years.
